Ever since its invention by Charles Babbage, computers have come to
occupy an important place in everybody's life. In offices, education
institutions, homes and in any other formal or informal sector,
computer has become an important component of their work. In today's
world we cannot imagine any work without computer. Its importance has
further increased with the invention of the Internet. Computer has two
important aspects - hardware and software. Computer hardware
refers to
the various computer parts which together make up the computer. Some of
the important computer hardware parts are mother board, hard disk.
R.A.M (random access memory), R.O.M (read only memory), C.P.U (central
processing unit) and of course monitor.
The computer operates through a series of computer software. Without
software, computer is like an empty box. It is made of computer program
which enable the computer to read and understand different things. For
instance, you have to install media player software if you want to
listen to songs and watch videos.
The unique feature of computer is its capacity to store large amount of
data. It is done through various storage devices present in the
computer. Hard disk is an important storage device of computers. The
input devices and output devices are the keyboard, mouse and
the monitor.
You can purchase a brand new computer from any electronic shop or if
you don't have sufficient money to purchase a new computer, you can
purchase cheap computer parts from market and get it assembled by any
hardware expert.
